This major offshore and international law firm have an excellent new opportunity for a mid to senior-level dispute resolution lawyer to join their growing and thriving top-level practice on Jersey to focus in the main on high-level regulatory matters. Working closely with leading corporates, financial institutions and industry regulators, their team is particularly active in the financial services sector, including the banking, insurance, securities and funds spaces. The scope of their practice focusses particularly on advising these major financial institutions on compliance with regulatory laws, anti-money laundering regimes, sanctions, and investigations and enforcement actions, including white-collar matters concerning fraud and financial crime. The disputes team also draws on strong support from the firm's leading non-contentious practice, which is adept with the establishment and licensing of regulated entities, as well as from the firm's premier Corporate and Finance practices. Applicants will need to be Jersey or UK qualified lawyers (the UK regulatory aspect (FCA) is similar to the JFSC in Jersey and UK experience will therefore align closely), with broad-ranging and high-level regulatory disputes experience, and along with a commitment to building a top-level career on Jersey for the long term.
