This leading UK and international law firm has an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Senior Associate to join their busy and thriving Project Finance practice in Riyadh. Their highly-rated team has an impressive record of successfully delivering first-rate legal services for major projects in all segments of the regional energy (power/renewables, natural resources and mining) and infrastructure (transport, social infrastructure and infra tech) industries. The role will accordingly entail a variety of high-level work, focusing particularly on advising major private and public sector clients, funders, and consortia on the structuring, drafting and negotiation of the full range of financing documents for a diverse range of big ticket energy and infrastructure projects. The team's work also frequently sees them advising and supporting clients post-close and throughout the subsequent construction and operational phases. This is therefore an exciting and challenging role, and presents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their knowledge and progress their career within a major global law firm. Applicants should ideally be UK or Common Law qualified lawyers, with extensive experience in high-profile project financing transactions, and ideally including in drafting/negotiating a wide range of finance documents (incl. common terms agreements and intercreditor arrangements), through to financial close, ideally gained within another major law firm in the Middle East, the UK or Australasia. Experience of working with development financial institutions and export credit agencies would also be beneficial (though is not essential). Middle East regional experience, Islamic finance experience and Arabic language skills, while beneficial, are not essential for this position.
