This premier US and international law firm have an excellent new opportunity for an Associate to join their thriving IT, IP & Commercial transactions group in London. Their busy practice handles a varied range of high-end technology, IP and data protection matters, and assists a variety of international clients across industries on major projects, including large outsourcing deals, cloud contracts and licensing arrangements. The group also work closely with the firm's leading corporate and private equity teams, advising on tech, commercial and DP related issues involved in complex deals, including emerging issues in big data, artificial intelligence, internet of things, healthcare, blockchain and fintech. They additionally assist litigation, white collar and arbitration colleagues, particularly on DP aspects arising from the discovery process in investigations and other proceedings. For this particular role, the team envisage a broad scope of IT, IP and cybersecurity mandates. They are ideally seeking someone with relevant post-qualifying experience in the London market (or a major city in a similar common law jurisdiction). Experience of working with government organisations, or relevant agencies, such as GCHQ, and/or working on matters related to cybersecurity would also be looked on favorably. As the practice area is in constant change/growth, it is key to have an active and keen interest in keeping abreast of relevant legal and regulatory case-law and broader industry-specific developments, and to enjoy contributing to external and internal publications and attending key events in these areas.
