This highly respected and well-liked international law firm has an excellent new opportunity for a mid-level Associate to join their busy and thriving Intellectual Property practice in London. Their work spans an interesting and diverse mix of contentious and non-contentious IP mandates, covering a range of both soft IP matters and related commercial transactions, and with a particular emphasis on the areas of retail, fashion, luxury goods, beauty/cosmetics, food and beverage, sports, and e-commerce. Typical matters covered can therefore include (i) trade mark and design procurement (UK/EU/international portfolio management, searches and applications); (ii) IP advisory (trade mark, design, copyright, internet/e-commerce, passing off, trade secrets); (iii) contentious trade mark work (UK/EU oppositions, cancellations/appeals, international litigation, cease and desist letters, pre-litigation enforcement, and anti-counterfeiting); (iv) marketing and advertising (UK/EU/global campaigns, and Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) complaints/advice); (v) commercial contracts (drafting/reviewing/negotiating licensing, collaboration, celebrity ambassador, logistics services, and e-Commerce agreements, and advising on varied commercial matters); (vi) Corporate due diligence and related commercial work; and (vii) Data Protection. The team are particularly seeking someone who, along with suitable high-level IP experience, has strong organisational capabilities and an eye for detail, with a keen and genuine interest in working for an international law firm in representing some of the world's most famous brands.
