This leading national UK law firm has two excellent opportunities for an experienced Associate and Senior Associate to join their busy and thriving Energy, Infrastructure & Projects practice in London. Their highly rated team advise funds, financial institutions, energy and utility companies, developers and public institutions on innovative, complex projects, which are frequently in the headlines. The key thread of what they do is that most of the work is bespoke / non-commodity. Each day can be different, but people also have the choice, as they progress, to specialise in the areas they enjoy the most. Many of their team come from non-projects transactional backgrounds - e.g. banking, commercial, construction and corporate - and there is an excellent training programme to help grasp the fundamentals of this area. The work often involves travel, and also being able to see and appreciate the results. The roles will particularly be aimed at helping to service their growing roster of major energy, utilities and natural resources clients. You could therefore expect to spend the majority of your time supporting their rapidly growing transactional energy team (which has hired four lateral partners in the last three years), advising on a range of transactional matters including project development, project finance, M&A and joint-ventures, and working closely with colleagues across the UK and internationally. This is a highly dynamic team where all of their lawyers play a key role, taking appropriate responsibility for leading on projects, developing client relationships, contributing to the team's business development plans, focusing on sector activity and supporting the growth of more junior team members.
