This major UK and international law firm have an excellent new opportunity for a further ambitious Associate to join their thriving Dispute Resolution practice in Dubai. The role provides the opportunity to work on many of the largest and most complex disputes mandates within the UAE and throughout the GCC region. Their team handle major infrastructure and construction disputes (several over USD1 billion) concerning airports, as well as hospitals, shopping centres, hotels, power stations, cooling facilities, desalination plants, bridges and highways, manufacturing facilities, renewable energy and other major infrastructure. In addition, the team is one of the few in the Middle East with a genuine and broad commercial dispute resolution practice, acting for top multi-national corporations on high value and complex disputes, particularly involving commercial arbitration (before all the major arbitral institutions), offshore court litigation, investigations and high-level advisory matters. Applicants will need to be UK or Common Law qualified lawyers, with experience in high-end energy, infra, construction and/or commercial disputes, ideally gained within a well-regarded international law firm; some investigations related experience would also be advantageous (although is not essential).
