This leading offshore and international law firm is actively seeking a further Associate or Senior Associate to join their thriving and market leading Investment Funds practice in Hong Kong. Their highly rated team advises on all aspects of the formation, structuring and restructuring of all types of open and closed end funds, including hedge funds, private equity and venture capital, real estate and infrastructure funds. The role will accordingly involve a significant amount of drafting of all fund documents, advising on both commercial issues as well as technical legal issues, and some negotiation; whilst also working closely with a range of fund formation experts on hedge, private equity and other investment fund structures. Applicants should have gained experience working at leading commercial law firms and be looking for a long-term career at top level in the offshore field. Whilst some funds experience would be an advantage, it is not a pre-requisite for the role, and a solid corporate background would be considered also. All necessary training will be provided, with the role providing the ability to realise your long-term potential with strong opportunities for career progression. Applicants should ideally be qualified in a Commonwealth jurisdiction, and have outstanding legal and technical skills, including excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and strong communication, drafting and teamworking skills. Fluency in English is will be needed, and Chinese language skills, while beneficial, are not prerequisite.
