This highly rated mid-size UK and international law firm has an excellent new opportunity for a further Associate to join their busy and thriving Banking & Finance practice in London. The position will have a particular emphasis on high-level Aviation Finance transactions, while also extending to other financing areas handled by the team (which may include general banking and finance, real estate finance, structured and debt finance, restructuring and Islamic finance). You could expect to be involved in commercial and technical legal advice throughout the deal cycle, with an emphasis on secured and unsecured financings and refinancings, sale and leasebacks, operating and finance lease agreements, trading, supply and maintenance services, private equity investments and restructurings. You'll be working closely with key partners of this busy team, assisting with large-scale matters, and running your own smaller-scale transactions. To succeed in the role, you'll need to be adaptable and capable of (and enjoy) working on your own initiative (with appropriate supervision); you should also enjoy focusing on the detail of drafting, be sensitive to client needs, and enjoy participating fully in BD activities. Applicants should ideally be UK or Commonwealth qualified lawyers, with relevant aviation/banking experience and strong academic credentials.
