US FIRM - OIL & GAS - 3-5 PQE - LEADING ENERGY TEAM
Our client has a global reputation in this sector and acts for an impressive domestic and overseas client base. Given the continued success of the team, they now wish to strengthen their client offering by attracting a strong associate to join their team to work on a range of energy projects with a particular emphasis on upstream and midstream oil and gas.
This role should appeal to an oil and gas lawyer sitting in a large team and feeling frustrated at the lack of real deal exposure and unsure as to where the next deal is coming from. Given the size of the team here you will be guaranteed extensive involvement in deals, with a view to taking a leading role on certain matters (with partner guidance and support).
Candidates must have experience of advising clients in the oil & gas industry and ideally will have experience of working on energy projects. You should also have experience in all or some of, upstream contracts, UK petroleum licensing, joint operating agreements, farm out agreements, sale of oil & gas, unitisation agreements, LNG sales and the acquisition and disposal of oil & gas assets.
You must have an excellent academic record, including a 2:1 from a top University and should have gained your post qualification experience at a top-tier UK or US firm in London.
